My reason for painting and drawing is because art is able to touch me deeply, I would like my work to do the same to others. I draw the human figure because most of my work ends up as questions about the future and present of our race. I believe in the essential goodness of mankind however the spillage of greed and fear so clearly threaten our planet. My drawings are influenced by the fluid brush strokes of oriental art or else the solid forms of Henry Moore. My colour works, especially the abstracted images from my "wall paper" drawings seek to push the possibilities of colour.
