I draw from live models on large rolls of paper, the figures are larger than life. I then cut up the wall papers choosing sections that I find interesting and then paint these sections. The colours I choose depend on the image selected and are nearly always abstract. This painting is about - Red emotive very strong questions. Power to achieve, to get the right answers but from where? Anger is here, justice is important.

This pair is supposed to be a celebration of colour and pattern, to push to boundaries, it is about joy. The result looks like there is some ethnic play which I'm happy about, its my past. Thoughts are always present when you paint, they can so often come from behind.
